Buddleia and Butterfly
A friend just gave me this Buddleia - it's a sterile variety that he propagated. In Oregon Buddleia davidii (the standard Butterfly Bush) is considered a noxious weed and is illegal to sell. In order to enjoy this lovely bush we must plant sterile varieties. It is currently sitting in a pot in my garden, waiting to be planted this weekend. It is absolutely covered in bees and butterflies! It will be a terrific addition to the garden. Meanwhile, I caught this butterfly - I think it's a kind of Skipper (does someone know?) sipping nectar - if you look closely you can see it's tongue!
Gorgeous morning - so refreshing after the deluges recently!
