The Sun is Shining this Afternoon!

Finally, after days of downpours, the sun emerged this afternoon. The garden and the pollinators woke up and got to work! It feels like a gorgeous fall afternoon - crystal blue sky, brilliant sun, just a hint of crispness in the air. It was hard to choose which blip to post - so many varieties of pollinators and  plants!  But this one has such lovely contrast - it's a Garden White butterfly - Pieris (which is interesting since that's also a plant) sipping nectar from an annual salvia. The salvia was loaded with various bees, butterflies and insects, but the Garden White sat long enough for me to snap her pic.
