In the Pink
The Water Gardens on the John Lewis Leckford estate open on Sunday afternoons during the Summer, with entrance fees going to a charity. I've kept meaning to go along, but something (or laziness) has always come up! Today was the last opportunity for me to visit this year, so I made the effort and enjoyed a lovely afternoon wandering around the various ponds and streams set in woodland.
This tree with its distinctive pinky red fruit and bright orange seeds took my eye. Another visitor said it was a "Spindle" - never heard of it. Looking it up later I found they were correct, with latin name Euonymus europaea. So there you go, yet another this learnt on this Blipfoto journey.
