Leftovers

This is how my friend R prepares leftovers.!! (2 ways," illustration", and "real" photographic - because I can't decide.... and thot it would be an interesting comparison...the bread did get turned around...) It was my turn for dinner tonight but we are leaving tomorrow so need to eat the leftover food. She likes to cook and I don't, so her gift to me is to fix dinner in the guest cottage. Again! Mushroom lasagna, green beans, smoked salmon, Jansson's temptation (potatoes with anchovies) roasted carrots, roasted cauliflower, spinach, roasted tomatoes, broccoli, and Swedish Limpa bread. Included leftover appetizers and pumpkin pie. YUM!

It was a grey and misty/rainy day. But not so cold. Photos of eagles together not so tack sharp or they would have been the blip. Not as many ducks around as usual either --wonder if it's due to the warmer weather. We went out at noon to put the rowing boat away and there was a break in the wet, so we did go for a row first. Good idea. Some time in the studio with Sat Afternoon at the Opera, a sauna, dinner and time for bed. We are hoping the unusually good weather for early January will hold for one more day til we return to Seattle late tomorrow....
