Holding Court

Miss Huffy Puffy was receiving this afternoon.  The Handsome Neighbor (Buddy) appeared interested in her but in fact, was just waiting for his treats.  I'm just glad Miss HP is past the "kill him" stage and has of late been very nice to him, even when they're both outside.  We are definitely making progress.  

Two nights ago the whole of Western Washington was treated to a one-of-a-kind thunderstorm the likes of which hasn't been seen around here for ages, if ever.  It was a spectacular show with, according to the news, over 2,000 lightning strikes.  (I'd love to know who was counting.)  

I absolutely love thunder and lightning so I was in my element.  I didn't even attempt to take pictures.  I just enjoyed the show.  I'm hoping it happens again, but I think it may have been a rare occurrence.  We'll see.
