Floating Lantern Pet Memorial 2019

Tonight marked the fifth annual floating lantern pet memorial on Lake Whatcom.  Participants can create a lantern with their pet's picture and tribute which is then set afloat.  After it gets dark, the lanterns are retrieved by volunteers in kayaks.  Tonight there were about 60+ lanterns set afloat.  Each year the event gets more popular.  It's quite moving to be there and participate.
