Standing In The Rain
It started off well enough, nice and dry, no wind, table set up and my friend Jon allowed me to park on the forecourt. The aim was not so much to collect a bin full of money but let people know we, the RNA, are still here.
Then we had that fine drizzle, the one that soaks everything, then the rain became a little heavier but I stuck it out until 2pm, I even met an elderly couple who knew my late father from his time at British Aerospace in Weybridge, Surrey.
Having packed up I drove home and changed before heading off to see my niece Gemma with her husband Adi in St Ives for a coffee.
With Sam in Plymouth for the night I got home in time to meet Clare from work, dinner and then the wait up for Joshua to arrive.
