Jewel purpose....

The last time Doris suggested a trip to the beautiful Perthshire countryside for lunch, it didn't go quite as I had imagined....

This time however, we really did have lunch at Gleneagles (fabulous) followed by a wander round the hotel's gorgeous jewellery shop (who buys expensive jewellery from a hotel???).

The jeweller saw me drooling over looking at a very sparkly ring and asked if I'd like to try it on. "It's been reduced," he said, "it's a steal now, at almost half price."

Well stealing is the only way it would have gone home with me.....oddly enough, even though I had a quick rummage in the bottom of my handbag, I couldn't quite put together the £15,000 he was looking for.....
