The Firey Red Afternoon Sun

This is the colour of the light coming in the window this afternoon.I am guessing its from the hazy smoke filled sky from the fires that have surrounded us for the last several days.

There are many places in our hinterland that have succumbed to the flames and we are constantly breathing diluted smoke. For some it is a very scary time....but mostly its been the National Park areas.

However I am not complaining we have been lucky in our immediate surroundings except for the burn off the other night......the wind is high at the moment though so we will be vigilant.

The boy is trying to make magical potions in the saucepan...and of course the Beetle is helping.

I am entertaining a lurgy at the moment......feeling pretty crappy so I am off to bed to get warm and lay down my thumping head.
