THE OLDIES

Obligatory sisters-and-Mum group at Jack and Jenny's wedding; K, Jack's mum, is on the left. It's a shame it wasn't warmer, but we made up for it by outlasting many of the youngsters on the dance floor in the evening... except for Mum, of course. We realised that we've now reached the age and status of "the old aunties", our Dad's five older sisters who used to behave riotously at family occasions and who seemed really ancient to us when we were young!

And because the day wasn't all about us, there's an extra of the bride and groom cutting the cake with Jack's late dad's axe! The cake was made by sister A2 (second from right in the main photo). It was a lovely day, but we all missed Andy.
