Day 3

Our son had visited Dune du Pilat recently and thought it amazing so we went today. As you drive towards it through tree lined roads ... suddenly this huge sand dune is in the background. Quite amazing. It’s on the Atlantic coast. Hubby ventured up these steps (thats him in blue shirt) and I attempted it but the steps were at odd angles and the sand was moving as you walked. I gave up sadly...my knee injury from last year couldn’t take it. People looked like ants on the top of it! On a lovely campsite and staying two nights to relax before Spain on Tuesday. The sites are so cheap. £12 for everything! Includes electric and they have a small heated pool and a lovely walk along a river. It’s a small quiet site so suits us well!
