Down by the Riverside

Bright, sunny and warm with a slight breeze.

This morning we decided on a walk while the weather was good.  We went along the road which overlooks the River Calder and then back towards Town as I needed to pop into the Coop for a few bits.

A lovely stroll with several fishermen out on the banks of the river.   Not sure it is a good day for fishing with the sunshine but a relaxing day for them.   Further on we passed the local Allotments and there were a few people tending their plots.   In extras I zoomed in to get these Dhalias (I think).   They are huge and such stunning colours.   Plenty of produce to harvest over the coming weeks.

A lovely end to the weekend.   The calm before the storm I think.
