So, goodbye Robert Mugabe, hero, freedom fighter, tyrant and despot. Funny that under certain political systems, power can be seized in the name of the people by young idealists, and forty or fifty years, they’re still there at the top, old men, their grizzled old hands gripping tightly onto power for themselves.
And goodbye too, Jo Johnson. While the temporarily unified opposition is making great sport of his brother’s disastrous tenure, it’s not got anyone off the Brexit hook, and is surely just postponing the point where something has to give. Shitty fan hitty.
Still, it was a dry Friday and I was able to get in a bit of shopping and even a teatime pint before being summoned home for crevettes. I was going to say for starters, but there were way too many, apart from anything else.
