Searching for a phone signal

Up above Danby, where I’d hoped to find a signal so I could contact Merv.  Our area lost its electricity supply yesterday morning and we ended up leaving home later than we intended.  It wasn’t back on by the time we left and I’d contacted Merv,  who said he’d call in and check things were all OK.  We have no phone signal at the cottage where we stay, only a fairly slow internet connection.  We’d heard on the community FB page that some people weren’t expecting to get power back until midnight so we were beginning to worry about the freezer.  He’s been in touch this morning to say everything is OK.  Big sigh of relief!
