Making the most of the sun

We took Joan to Newcastle to see #3 daughter. She’d not seen the children since babyhood. She had a very warm welcome and they both chattered away to her. She had no children and doesn’t really interact very naturally with them but Ella enjoyed having a conversation.

We all went out to a Turkish place for lunch which was enjoyed. Daughter thought it would be nice as Mr C and I lived in Cyprus at the same time as Joan when Vicky was a baby so we’d have nights out together then.

We dropped Joan at the station for her train back to Cumbria and Mr C got home in bright sunshine. We had a drink on the terrace and watched the butterflies making the most of the last of the buddlia.

Meanwhile #2 daughter and her uni friends were in London for the 25km bridges walk in aid of Alzheimers. They reached their target of over £1000. I doubt their feet went as fast as their tongues.
