Mount Foraker

We picked-up a rental car at Anchorage airport. I was told the bay in which the car was located. We found it easily, got in and tried to start it. Nothing happened despite lots of tries and a cursory perusal of the handbook.  I got out and went to seek assistance. As I did so, Tracey called through the window "why does it say 'Ford' on the display?" I ignored this and found help. The garage attendant quickly sorted-out the problem. "You have the wrong car." Ours was a Nissan Pathfinder. The adjacent car was a Ford.

After that, the drive up to Denali National Park was delightful.  Some dramatic mountains (although the summit of Mount Denali - formerly McKinley - was in mist)  and terrific fall colours on the trees and hillsides. We were not the only people making this journey.

Weather permitting, the next two days will be spectacular.
