A worthwhile programme to learn from.
I found this BBC Alba programme in Gaelic with English sub titles a source of mortification and a powerful wake up call to keep praying, keep a lot of trust and faith in Jesus and His Mercy and Mother Mary.
I am not convinced all of us viewers and blippers would find this series a comfortable watch. As a mother and grandmother I tried not to tune into my fears and negativity. It is a story of faith, hope and danger. The children in Slighean Sgoile an t- Saoghail, Most dangerous ways to school, in a non judgemental yet clear way, follows the journey to school of four young children, through a jungle where there are serious snakes, and the young daughters, who travel by river each day in difficult conditions.
You really should watch it to understand the thread. God bless them.
Life here, well, we have so much reason to think of others and pray that without intruding into their culture, find helpful ways to help if possible. The better footwear, the new boat, and the sunhats, and clothing, and prayers and fasting, could make a difference. I think praying for the mother to keep on keeping on and trusting in God's providential love and protection, is key. Their Mother holds onto a hope of her children eventually becoming teachers and doctors. Their teacher, helps them and more children in their classroom, to learn to read.
The image of Mother Mary is one I have posted on blip previously.
Do watch this episode or series, if called to.
There is beauty in where they live, and eco friendly environment and snakes and heat and river currents. Much to learn and much to pray about without wishing to interfere inappropriately and still have compassion. From the Bible :
"He... (God) set my feet upon a rock."
Psalm 40 : 2.
