A 'Sweep' of Brushes

I have absolutely no idea if this is the collective noun for brushes, but I couldn't come up with anything better from my quick research.  I saw these at our little high street DIY shop on the way to the GPs this morning.  Given I didn't photograph anything else all day, it's ended up as my blip.

We announced our fellow director, earthdreamer's standing down today.  I have to say I will be sorry to see him go, but I'm confident his journals will continue to be populated with new images for many years to come.  I've smiled reading all of the lovely tributes to him on the Blip Central blog.  The community certainly knows how to express itself at times like this.

In the afternoon we ventured back onto the badminton court for the first time in a couple of months.  For me it didn't go well.  My knee continues to give me problems and is sore and slightly swollen after just an hour's play.  L continued playing while I took a walk outside, only to bump into a group of ex works colleagues playing football.  I was offered the chance for a kick around, something I didn't take up and probably a good decision as no corner was being given in the tackles.  The GP has suggested that I have a combination of chronic damage to the joint (which I can cope with), combined with the acute inflammation caused by the bursitis and if things don't improve I am to go back for further assessment.
