Bee-utiful!

Dear Diary,

The Helenium is in bloom and the bees are loving it.  Between the sedum and the Helenium they don't know where to go first.  This little guy is packing his pouches with pollen.  They had a day off yesterday when we got a day of steady, and at times, heavy rain.  We really needed it.  So, today it was back to the job for these tireless workers.  It seemed right for them to have a day of rest yesterday, it was Labor Day here in the states.  It is a day to celebrate all those who work to clothe us, to transport us and to feed us.  The bees are a big part of that equation too. So, here's to you little bee and all the work you do...long may you buzz in my garden!
