Fungi season is upon us

Inspired by recent blips I headed off to the woods this morning to see what I could find. No fly agaric (fairy toadstools) but this was a largely beech wood. Still plenty of other varieties of interest though. I also took my eye glass, that I’ve now got the hang of, for some close up study.

It wasn’t very far (about 9000) steps but the furthest I’ve been able to walk in weeks. Sadly I started to pay for it this afternoon so back on the painkillers :(
