A View from the Boundary

You had the contrast of a rugby and cricket matches taking place adjacent to each other this afternoon in the local park.  I love both sports but had missed most of the rugby so took the opportunity for a walk around the boundary of the cricket ground before heading back home.

I did take some close ups of the action, but also got out the wide angle lens to capture what had become a thoroughly beautiful afternoon, with deep blue sky, fluffy clouds and lengthening shadows.  Today is the last day of meteorological summer in the norther hemisphere.  Daylight hours are shortening and we can look forward to the colourful prelude to winter over the coming months.
