Lightship at Tollesbury
Taking a break from the 30 day challenge today.
Yesterday l drove for an hour out of London and met up with an old primary school friend who has been laid low by a super bug and has been having 3 injections a day of antibiotic, the last one being yesterday morning, l hope this 4th lot of antibiotics does the trick.
We drove out towards Maldon on the east coast about 20 miles away and then up the Blackwater estuary. We stopped and had a crab sandwich for lunch at a little cafe by the seawall, watched the boats sailing by and then drove on to the village of Tollesbury and this is where l took this photo of the light boat moored amongst the marshlands by the Woodrolfe creek near the marina. It was very busy with families enjoying the last day of the summer school holidays; older kids pulling their dinghy yatchs up out the water, little uns digging in the sand, a very happy place..
