Freaky Friday

I think I saw someone execute this far better than me on here a few weeks ago. I saw a little feature in one of my photography magazines about combining two portraits - a profile and a full face - to make a picasso-esque portrait/optical illusion.

Suffice it to say, after 6 hours of marking exercise books today, I decided that I needed to do some creative stuff so I have been arsing about on Photoshop, trying to get to grips with the software and with the concept. It has messed with my eyes in a way that I have found strangely enjoyable!

I have made very little progress with either, but I have had fun. I should probably set myself a target for improvement, but I am not going to. Instead I am going to retreat to the bath with some boozy ginger beer and chill out for a bit.

Reality has hit home in the last couple of days. Work is looming and that means that time is going to fly by. So regardless of when that damned operation date is (and no Mum, I don't know yet!!!), it's going to come around quickly. School is like a strange kind of time vortex - so much to do and never enough time to do it. I fear that I am going to have to leave things undone and let others tie up the ends for me, because there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Tomorrow - shoe shopping for James because apparently, his feet have grown enough in the past two weeks to render his school shoes and trainers too small. This growing up lark is really expensive!
