Too darn hot

Been catching up on reading in this heat over the Bank holiday. Read much of Sunday's Observer and made notes from the the review of future books I will read.
Today ventured out at midday for my Readeasy student. The heat was intense then. Spent the rest of the afternoon reading.
It's been trying to rain and the mercury has dipped 5 degrees. The hound heard thunder, hence his 'obstacle' position in the middle of the kitchen floor near me as I prepare dinner.
Hope we have rain tonight to clear this heavy air.
