False Poinsettia
False Poinsettia, also called Dwarf Poinsettia, Wild Poinsettia & Fire on the Mountain
It is deer and rabbit resistant and reseeds itself to the point it can be invasive. It grows great in poor soil. Mine is growing in almost pure sand.
You have to be careful when working in the garden where they grow as they produce a milky sap that is irritating to skin and eyes.
I like it because they come up when everything else has died back and give a little pop of colour to that spot between the crepe myrtles.
Some people consider this a weed
