Beatrix potter

so today (13/8) is my birthday! and as per norm we are away on holiday!! this year it was the lakes...so my choice of day out was the beautiful hill top where beatrix potter made her home. we had a sun filled day and was perfect for exploring this wonderful place, all of the house just as she wanted it to be left full of her treasures. And the wonderful national trust volunteers were so informative and helpful and friendly and did not mind all the questions. couldn't have asked for a better day. followed of course by a birthday gin or 3!!
