Happy Anniversary at the Blythswood!

Our anniversary is on the 27th December. It could quite easily be overlooked at this time of year however to help us celebrate I booked us a Spa day and overnight stop at the Blythswood Square Hotel, Restaurant and Spa. Today was the day!

We arrived at the hotel at 12ish to spend the afternoon in the Spa before checking into our room later in the day. We spent a couple of hours in the Thermal Experience, had a light lunch and then had our treatments at 3pm. John had a full massage and I had a full massage with a facial (well I am the lady!) It was a fabulous day.

After this we met in the bar for a little vino before checking into our room...................Special thanks have to go to Hans and Lydia Rissman!!! You see Hans is the Big Chief at the hotel. I had booked a "mere" (lol) Classic Room however when the lovely porter took us to our room it was immediately apparent that Hans had upgraded our room.......we were now in the Classic Suite. We had a living area as well as the bedroom area on a mezzanine level with a stunning bathroom and huge bath!!! Hence the slightly processed shot of me!!!!
Not only had they upgraded us but we were presented with a lovely bottle of Prosecco and some chocolate to welcome us!
We then went for dinner in the Hotel restaurant which was fabulous. At the end of our meal we were given more bubbles..... Moet & Chandon this time and some more chocolates from Hans and Lydia again!! Thanks so much to both of you.
We would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone (not just because they are my friends, I promise!!) but because we had a fabulous, relaxed day just for us!! That doesn't happen very often with 4 kids to look after.
