An evening on the beach

L's birthday today. Started with cards and presents in the flat and then Soc Cafe at the Filmhouse - J and E had brought pastries with them to celebrate L's day. A quiet afternoon in as L really fancied watching a Colombo. Well, if you can't do exactly what you want on your birthday when can you? And then, when the beach was quieter in the evening we went down onto the sand for some fizz with K instead of mahjong. It was so warm, even when the sun went down. Strangely it seemed to get warmer as the breeze dropped and the heat came up off the sand. We stayed unto 11pm, chatting and listening to L singing a few songs with her guitar.
