#beachday

The forecast looked ridiculously good so SS and I trotted off to Harlech for the day. Not sure why I don’t do this more often as the drive through Wales is always absolutely stunning, whatever the season.

We were on the beach by 10.30 and it was already scorchio. Harlech beach steadily filled up with people enjoying the sunshine. I think I’ve only ever been here in the winter before, when the beach is mostly empty apart from the odd dog walker.

A lunch of (French) cheese and a sub-standard English baguette and hours of lazing around reading and people watching. Bliss. I would have even swum, if it wasn’t for the multitudes of jellyfish adorning the shore.

Dinner at the Corn Mill in Llangollen on the way home and a delicious after dinner ice-cream as the sun went down.
