All at Sea in Walvis Bay

This morning with warnings of wind and cold we set off for a 4 hour catamaran sea safari. No need for the extra layers...it was a beautiful day.

You will see seals, they said. Yes we did by the hundred, some basking on the sands across the bay and youngsters playing in the sea. But the first creature who jumped on the catamaran was Nicholas who is a regular visitor aboard. He is happlily rewarded with fish by the crew and admiration from the tourists before he jumps back in the water to find another generous vessel.

Then we were joined by Lady Gaga who is actually a young adult male pelican. The indications that he is maturing are the slight pink tinge in his feathers and the little pony tail on his head. see extra

We also saw a whale but disappointingly it stayed a long way off.

Lots of interesting people to talk to. Jack struck up a conversation with Cepu. see extra

The trip was rounded off for us humans with bubbles, oysters and many other tasty treats. see extra
