L'Alchimie

It's another grey day, and I'm working today, so I was struggling for a blip.

My friend bought me some lovely red roses on New Years Eve, so I played around with my macro for a bit this morning, but I wasn't happy with the results - It was still quite dark outside so there was no natural lighting, and the indoor lighting wasn't bright enough to get any really clear shots.

So I took my camera with me in the hope that I'd find something on my walk to work. I almost gave up hope of finding anything suitable and then I passed this lovely statue. I've blipped some of the statues before, so I thought this would be perfect.

As it's in front of a shop, I couldn't avoid getting reflections from passing traffic, or the people in the shop, but I thought this added to the blip. Then as I was about to take the photo I noticed my image in the mirror behind. If you look closely you'll see me.

This statue is called 'Alchimie' by Caroline Moxhon. The translation of 'Alchimie' is 'Chemistry', and there is obviously a certain chemistry between this young boy and girl holding hands - I think it's lovely.

Anyway, my lunch break is over, so it's time to get back to work, but at least it's Friday and nearly the weekend - I hope you have a good one!
