Mortehoe Point

A long and mostly sunny if breezy walk along the coast to Woolacombe (just to remind ourselves why it’s best kept a long walk away). Mortehoe Point is always fun though, with huge almost upright slate and basalt ridges waiting to trip you and cut you... but it didn’t.

This year, perhaps in deference to our growing enfeeblement, we took the bus back from Woolacombe! Such a pleasure not to face that climb up Mortehoe hill, which still contains a warning against allowing such vehicles as we were on actually doing so.
