Royal Mile
I was number 18 on the list for a doctor's appointment at 8am this morning, but I can always get an appointment on the day, which isn’t true elsewhere in the country, I think.
I saw a new doctor, the one who's been monitoring my recent blood tests. And it's always nice to get another opinion, though she did say I was a bit of a puzzle. We've decided to wait until we hear from the knee specialist re my back (next week) and then decide what to do. She's not sure it's PMR, as I can stand up from a chair easily, and she said it'd be quite difficult if I did have PMR. Let's hope my consultant decides it's my back and can do something.
JR took Archie to Midmar Paddock in the morning, as she was keen to pop down later to her favourite shop for bargain gin glasses (like we don’t have enough...)
It was the usual kind of day - intermittent showers, but after reading my (brother's) book for a while, I took a chance later and we (Archie and I) went for a dander down town to see what was happening. Not as busy as the weekend, but still a madhouse. I spied these two charming chaps (from Mexico) who were happy to pose with Archie. Not sure feeling was mutual, but he's a good sport. Oops! In my haste, I cut the chap's headdress off. And his toes...
We walked further up the Mile and came upon a wild mob all with headphones on, clapping and dancing and generally getting in everybody's way on the crowded pavements. It was a 'silent disco' group.
Back home to continue with my big book. The neighbours popped in with a big punnet of fresh strawberries. They'd been to the farm and the three of them had picked two big punnets each - too many! We are happy to assist.
