"serving and returning"
OK, so it's a legendary old plastic shuttle instead of a nice feather shuttle but nothing beats a night of badminton with the crew from home - laughs, tea and biscuit breaks, and on one occasion in the summer - frisbee badminton!! :) Having joined the badminton club whilst I was at university it's always lovely to get back to my roots and catch up with everyone!
On a side note - I recommend the film 'Rise of the Guardians'. Jayney and I decided to be big kids this afternoon and went to the cinema to see this children's animation! In all seriousness it has a very heart warming storyline with the 4 guardians of the world's children (Santa, the tooth fairy, the sandman and the easter bunny) being told by the man in the moon to enlist Jack Frost as a 5th guardian to defeat the powers of the bogeyman! The storyline was based around always believing in these guardians, and in some ways it highlighted how magical and innocent our childhoods actually are in the knowledge that santa brings presents, the tooth fairy takes our teeth, etc and yet we never see them, and how we sometimes lose this magic as adults as the daily grind of work and responsibilities takes over our main concerns! So for that 1hr 37min today, we were back in our childhoods, surrounded by that magic once more! So regardless of how old you are - it's a must see film!!
