Our Great Nephew and family came to lunch today.

Our Great Nephew and his wife came to lunch today on their way to have an overnight stop in Wales before getting on the ferry to Dublin from Holyhead. 
Their two children were delightful. We had not seen them since Christmas 2017, when they stopped here for tea on their way up North from London, where they live, to stay with my sister and her hubby. 
   I always enjoy having young children in the house. 
It feels quiet now they have gone on their way. 
     At least the weather looks a little kinder for the next few days.
Hubby is umpiring at a Cricket Festival for Under 12's tomorrow at Rugby School, so I decided to have a day out visiting Winterbourne House and Gardens, https://www.winterbourne.org.uk/
It is located on the University of Birmingham Campus in Edgbaston.
    An Edwardian Arts and Crafts House with glorious gardens. 
 I can hop on the Cross City Train line here, 5 minutes walk, then it is just a 20 minute or so  from University Station. 
A treat in store!
