Silly Saturday!

A cheat really as I took this yesterday to post today! I couldn’t resist saving it!
I and two of my friends, (the fourth one had family staying,) had lunch yesterday at a different venue than usual.
It had quirky decor.
The pub is situated not far away and is called
“The Butler’s Arms

For the princely sum of £7.50 I had the most delicious Moroccan Vegetable Tagine which came with a kind of baked flat bread.
The others had a large plateful each of fish and chips, also for the same price. Excellent value, lovely staff and piping hot food when it arrived.
Some of the seating in the bar area amused me as you can see. There were these old hairdressers chairs complete with the retractable dryer hoods, alongside old office leather swivel chairs, the ones you would expect to see behind the manager’s desk in years gone by.
On a day of torrential downpours once more we passed an enjoyable couple of hours of good conversation in pleasant surroundings.
