Sign Of The Times

This sweet suite shop, or suite superstore, has been in the Port since err life began(?) and I have only just realised it has shut down despite having walked past it a few times over the Festive period. We bought our first Sofa from here over a decade ago in true Port style - a "special" 3+2 deal. The town's McDonald's has also shut down recently thanks to one of their "booming" sister branches just outside of town. Motor World, Cheshire Carpets and many others have also closed, making way for a variety of fast food pick-ups.

They say '13 should be a better year (than '12), though I got a feeling it'll be another "unlucky" drag. Lets hope it'll be a lucky year for everyone's sake.

Just to dampen spirits a tad more, we dismantled our tree today. Our house looks normal now with a (still) full wheelie bin out at the front. Something went amiss yesterday with the binguys. Rubbish! :-(
