All systems go...

Rain during the night so spent the morning spreading slurry. By lunchtime the grass I cut yesterday was just about dry enough so baled it up and left wee brother to wrap it while I headed off down the road to check the winter barley. It wasn’t as bad as I expected so got on the phone to the combining contractor to make a start.
I left Kev to cart barley while I started to bale the straw. Got my other contractor in to help bale the first field as my machine didn’t like the brittle short straw.
By 1.30 am we had it all cut and baled and headed up the road before the forecast rain arrives. Not a bad days work. Now just all the barley to dry and bales to cart home !
