The Fishmarket
After work we all went to the hospital to wish my “aunt” a happy birthday. 94 today. Not much fun sitting in a chair all day not able to see, move around or read.
So our arrival brightened her up. We had cake, a small refreshment a good chat then headed off.
We’d seen on a recent TV programme the fish and chip shop at Newhaven. Where the Loch Fyne shop and Harry Ramsdens had been previously.
So we thought we’d give it a try. We perhaps should have left it for a month or so as the queue was very long . It took us just under an hour to get served. But it was very good with the batter light and crisp right till the end.
It was a mild evening as we sat outside watching the seagulls scavenge.
