Lichen

An indicator of air quality. Plenty of lichen, plenty of fresh air and bugs for the small birds to feed on. If you find patches of lichen strewn on the ground you are usually beneath a tree that is visited by blue tits, long tailed tits, nuthatches etc.

I have no idea which types are here, they just appeal to me for the variety of shapes, structure and colours. The image was also saved as a 3D model for Flickr but it is set at 90* on it's side. Helicon doesn't like the fact that the camera was on it's side even thought he correct rotation function was selected. If I can fix it I'll get the model linked.
