Curling up with a good book
What a change in the weather after yesterday's sunshine! Cold and wet today - I haven't been out at all.
I've been getting on with the latest Robert Goddard novel. I don't like the word 'thriller' and I think that his are a mild form of the genre. I've enjoyed all of his books - I just like his style, for some reason. They're usually set in a town somewhere in Britain, but opening out to include some international business. This latest is supposed to be 'his best yet', but I'm not sure that I agree. It's set in Falmouth - Goddard lives in Cornwall - but it also brings in Gorbachev and the governments of those countries who are opposed to his liberal ideas. This is his 28th novel and I think I have them all!
