A Gun Under The Tree, Aylesford

What can you say about America that even after the terrible shootings in El Paso and Ohio that their politicians, particularly Republicans, still do not want to pass tougher gun laws. I don't know why we should be surprised, though - the awful gut wrenching tragedy of Sandy Hook a few years ago didn't alter anything when it should have been the catalyst for everything to change. The only hope is the younger people, especially the college students deeply affected by school shootings, who won't take no for an answer. Hopefully, in a few years, they will sweep away the reactionary, right wing racists like Trump and put their country on a different course.
