Ceret - Sardanne de la PaiX

A drive to Ceret over the mountains, which is always beautiful, for a visit to the Musee d'Art to see the Andre Masson exhibition.  Interesting, but what drew me back was the permanent exhibitiion and Picasso - who spent a very productive time here.

This painting is so simple and powerful.  The ceramics as well are worthy of a visit - as are some study drawings that Maillol made for his sculpture of La Douleur.
