A Visit to the Weston Farm

Dear Diary,

Rebecca and I trotted off to the Weston Farm in Fryeburg to replenish our fresh veggie supply.  The farm has been worked by the Weston family for seven generations, since Ephriam Weston started it in 1799 on the banks of the Saco River.  It is on the National Registry of Historic Places.  I really liked this loft ventilator, quite an old device, that lets the heat out of the hayloft of the barn, and the ornate lightning rod on top.  I also liked the gathering clouds that finally brought us some much needed rain, and some thunder and lightning, last night.  More showers for today off and on and I can hear the flowers rejoicing!

My cousin in Dutchess County, New York runs the family farm that has been in our family since 1774!
