the start...

of a lovely day!

to end the holiday season we had a day out in Glasgow. saw Katie on the London train, then went for coffee and cake at Pret. we wanted to go to the Gallery of Modern Art but it was closed, so spent a pleasant hour browsing and buying books in Waterstones then went to see The Life of Pi in 3D. A very late lunch, or very early dinner, followed at Jamie's Italian, first time we have been and it was very good. nice food, a good bottle of wine and coffe and sambucca to finish. No surprise that I slept all the way home on the train!

Tomorrow the new regime begins! it is supposed to last the whole of January but we'll see...
