Wasp spiders galore!

It was the final HNHS Monday evening walk this evening and it certainly didn't disappoint!
We visited a wildflower meadow that belongs to one of the members and it was just amazing! When we visited the same meadow this time last year we found 2 Wasp spiders, well this year we found in excess of 50+ This is probably because for one reason or another the meadow was neither cut or grazed last winter allowing the spider's large egg sacs chance to produce baby spiders for this year. Sadly I think the meadow may be cut this year, but hopefully some of the egg sacs can be rescued before hand.
This Wasp spider is quite small and needs to eat a few more grasshoppers before she is ready to make her egg sac, although some of the others are huge already!
I have added a shot of one of the amazing egg sacs in my extras.
