The problems of ID

When I saw this lovely moth in the trap this morning I knew it was something different, but the question is...... what?
Often when I catch moths they are newly hatched and pristine - which is wonderful, but more often than not they have a few scales missing and sometimes a bit of wing too, but this one is really quite worn and that makes identification difficult!
My gut feeling is it is an Angle-striped sallow Enargia palecea, a species that only occurs in central England and central Scotland, and found here in the south are usually migrants, which may well be why it is looking so battered.
I will need to do some research over the next day or two to find out.
EDIT it’s a very common Dunbar! Oh well some you win... some you don’t!
