Where's ya bean?

Well the answer to that is - in the soup! I grew a dozen or so bought runner bean plants in the Glen Lonan tunnel to make sure I got some early beans - the rest, grown from my own seed, went out in the Walled Garden at Glencruitten.

A week ago I visited the tunnel to pick beans and found that some of them were fairly big, so picked them all anyway. In spite of de-stringing them they were still stringier than I liked! Yesterday we picked some more - and after having selected the smallest for eating I decided to make the rest into soup.  This is the first stage!
