Final day at Bella

Backblipped on Sunday 4th

Final morning dawned bright and sunny - perfect for washing my hair outside on the grass. I figured I’d use too much water if I used the shower in the caravan so I opted fir a good old fashioned basin and jug which worked surprisingly well.

We got organised and headed into the arena in time to see one of fave bands - The Dangleberries - a bunch of lads and lasses from Dumfries who play a variety of instruments including 3 sets of bagpipes and who do covers of popular songs. They were excellent as usual and got the crowd jumping.

They were followed by Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5 - a Glasgow band who wrote their own music - absolute superstars as they hold down full time jobs and play in their free time. Their signature colour is yellow and the arena was awash with fans wearing yellow tee shirts (see extra for mine though it’s not the best shot!)

Other highlights included an all girl band from Kentucky - the Local Honeys, Be Charlotte and the Oxbow lake jazz band. Today’s headliners were Lewis Capaldi and Jess Glynne - neither of whomappeaked so we left the madness and mayhem to head to our favourite bar - the Burke and Hair for a wee seat and a listen to the Oxbows and Spring Break ( a Local Dingwall band who are a bit rappy but loved them).

We stayed after they had both finished (lovely beer served there) and our patience was rewarded when Col Mustard and his band came on at 11.30 for a 45 minute set - a double dose was just what the doctor ordered and I even managed a couple of selfies (extras).

All in all a great way to end a fabulous 3 days. Roll on next year.
As I’ve now returned to the land of reliable internet I will reply to comments and catch up on journals in the next day or so.
