Dark over Wills Mothers!
We had decided on a day out today, after a busy week, especially as the forecast was good.......
We drove to Glasson Dock, parked up, had a leisurely walk along the coastal path to Cafe D'Lune, shock horror, all shut up, with a notice apologising to customers, due to unforeseen circumstances, so no coffee and cake for us!!
Retraced our steps and headed to the only other cafe we knew of, it wasnt too busy, but was swarming with wasps, both outside and in, that didnt entice us in......in the end we went to the Bikers Burger Van, grabbed a coffee there, which was obviously instant, but not even good instant, half of that went over the hedge before we decided to walk along the towpath for an hour.
Todays blip is the sight that greeted us as we headed under this bridge, where we sat a while looking across the fields, so peaceful and quiet. Although the sky was dark and cloudy, the sun came out frequently and it was pretty warm when it did. There was no breeze to speak of, hence the glassy water and reflections.
Once we returned to the car, we decided to head over to Barton Grange so we could grab a bite for lunch. and browse their plants and garden furniture......which we did, but didnt see anything that fit the bill for our summerhouse and terrace.
We did buy 2 lean beefburgers, 2 cumberland pinwheel sausages, and 4 chicken skewers for the BBQ for dinner tonight.....we are still full and its nearly 11pm!! We did have salad and a bottle of fizz with it too ;-)
